Job Description:

T5 Program Summary: The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) awarded the Technical Support Services Contract 5 (T5) to Parsons in April 2023. Parsons is the prime contractor. This $1.8+ billion contract has a 4-year base period with two 3-year options. The statement of work includes a variety of activities that support the FAA’s Capital Investment Plan (CIP) and certain reimbursable programs, the FAA NextGen Program, national security programs and aviation safety. Specifically, work includes site selection and engineering, construction, environmental and fire/life safety, equipment installation and testing, drafting, contract surveillance, and other technical services as required. Work is performed across the nation in each of the FAA’s nine regions as well as the Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and the Technical Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey and in several U.S. territories. An average staff of 500 with a peak staff over 650 supports this contract, in addition to those subcontractors who perform construction work.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

This position performs a variety of document control functions for a project or department in direct support of the project or program manager.

Coordinates the flow of documents between project operations, engineering disciplines, construction team, or other department groups. Incumbent may be responsible for a small-sized project or multiple aspects of a larger project or program.

Will have knowledge of both the work processes of document control and also the use of electronic systems used to manage documentation.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Under general supervision, performs various clerical and technical tasks in support of a project. Assignments require PC and organizational skills.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintains established files for project document retention.

Works with field staff to obtain and review daily and weekly reports for accuracy and content, and then confirms the reports are sent to the correct points of contact.

Assists in updating manuals, engineering documentation and submittals for assigned project.

Reviews project documents such as drawings, specifications, technical manuals, and assembles Request For Offer (RFO) packages for solicitation. Supports the Project Manager and the Subcontracts Administrator in the subcontracting process.

Supports the project manager in the preparation and assembly of Risk Management Plan (RMP) documents.

Coordinates project requirements with various stakeholders.

Coordinates with project stakeholders and updates project schedule documents in support of the project manager.

Manages the flow of documentation during construction and installation projects, including submittals, Requests For Information (RFI), and Change Order Requests (CORs).

Communicates with project stakeholders regarding action items and due dates.

Assists in project closeout activities, as needed. Populates and maintains online electronic storage repository for assigned projects and confirms field staff’s ability to access said information.

Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Contributes as a team player who is deadline driven and works well with others.

Travels to project sites and offices in the continental United States and its territories and possessions for site surveys and other technical meetings.

Required Education/Experience:

High school diploma (or equivalent) and 4 plus years of relevant work experience, or a four-year college degree.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

Requires knowledge of general office practices.

Proficiency in MS Office with expertise in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and SharePoint

Good written and oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with project personnel and management.

An understanding of how to identify and handle drawings and other technical engineering documents is also required.

Good written and oral communication skills are prerequisites.

Must be able to meet customer security requirements. A background check by Federal Authorities will be performed.

Must be able to pass government background check.

Construction administrative experience preferred.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

Proficiency in MS Office with expertise in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel, and familiarity with SharePoint are required. Assignments will require a working knowledge of Electronic Document Management Systems. Good written and oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with project personnel and management.

Salary Range:

$25.34 - $44.33
