Description As a Platform Engineer on the Digital Infrastructure Processing Node Tech Team, you will be responsible for the operations and maintenance of a network and/or networks in support of the DIPN Team goals and objectives. You will provide advice regarding digital systems solutions and contribute technical leadership, while applying modern design principles and engineering best practices. The right candidate must be able to collaborate in a cross-disciplinary environment that includes program managers, software engineers/developers, network engineers, cyber security, and test professionals. You will provide hands on support to the implementation, deployment, and configuration of cloud and on-premises lab environments and networks and apply your technical expertise and consulting acumen to activities ranging from the definition of network requirements to the implementation of network design to support prototyping and evaluation in a lab environment. This position requires understanding of every facet of project execution, analysis and management of the procurement, design, and execution of classified, operational networks, as well as experience leading systems engineering and network development. Responsibilities: Support and lead activities in support of the Digital Infrastructure Division of the Command, Control, Communications and Battle Management Program Executive Office Develop processes to monitor and maintain Digital Infrastructure Processing Node networks and systems in support of software engineering and developers Provide DIPN Network Engineer recommended architectures, processes and procedures to effectively operate and maintain DIPN platform networks Develop and document network design and execution. Deliver digital architectural diagrams (OV-5a) of the DIPN platform Required Skills & Experience: Bachelor's Degree is required. BS in Information Systems, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Communications (technical), Physics, or similar degrees Understanding of fundamental requirements development and management processes Extremely motivated individual who is a self-starter and works well in a team environment. Experience writing and delivering technical documents and briefings. Excellent verbal and written communications skills as well as organizational skill Strong interpersonal skills to enable working, interfacing, and interrelating with diverse personnel and dynamic teams 9+ years' experience as a network or systems engineer Preferred Skills & Experience: Masters or higher degree in Information Systems, Computer, Systems, or Electrical Engineering, or similar technical field of expertise Model Based Systems Engineering, or other technical discipline Experience with SysML in Cameo and/or SparxEA Compensation: Starting salary ranges from $150,000 to $180,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
