Job Summary

Designs, implements, and oversees the Commercial Lending Origination and Servicing (nCino) platform product team and ensures its strong contribution to the company's growth and experiences. Establishes a business-centric team to collaborate with line of business leaders to craft a unified and coherent platform strategy that optimally addresses the needs of nCino platform users. Defines and fosters a culture of collaboration, negotiation, and prioritized, product-focused execution for business, support and delivery teams.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Leads key stakeholders in defining needs and priorities as it relates to the nCino platform and ecosystem. Organizes, improves, and leads governing body which oversees the effectiveness of the nCino platform for all key stakeholder groups.

Provides a constant feedback loop to capture issues that adversely impact deal team productivity and client experiences, to prioritize and remediate those issues, and manage communication as to the solutions, progress, and performance with our broader user base on a regular basis.

Garners support for strategic and tactical plans. Influences and obtains support from Line-of-Business Leaders, partners, and key stakeholders for successful execution. Directs technical and operational resources and scrum teams toward the successful execution of priorities.

Manages priorities and ensures connection to funding, delivery and execution, and supports functions across the company. Expands, deepens, and operationalizes capabilities for ensuring the voice of internal and external customers is consistently heard, understood, and included in all plans.

Owns and manages the nCino relationship from a business perspective. Supports key stakeholders with priorities and escalations with nCino to represent the best interests of Synovus. Employs industry relationships and experience to drive meaningful product innovation.

Leverages and builds upon excellent partnerships with executives, business partners, and teams across the company to further trust, teamwork, and ultimately drive successful outcomes. Acts as the nCino Business Champion for the entire organization.

Clearly and regularly communicates changes, updates, benefits, issues, and plans as it relates to the nCino platform to all relevant stakeholder groups. Organizes and produces assets which continuously improve experiences for platform users.

Ensures the Delivery and Support organizations receive clarity on prioritization, sequencing, and success drivers for the strategy, roadmap, and needs for the nCino platform. Develops, tracks, and reports regularly on balanced scorecard which reflects the performance of the nCino platform in meeting broad organizational needs in a continuously improving manner.

Manages the annual performance management and merit processes for direct and indirect reports. Coaches and develops team members and builds a work environment where team members are engaged and feel a positive sense of achievement about their role in the company. Works closely with Human Resources regarding employee relations, compensation, training, posting and filling vacant positions and other Human Resources related matters.

Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area. This includes observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role. Additionally, they should raise and report known or suspected violations to the appropriate Company authority in a timely fashion.

Performs other related duties as required.

Minimum Requirements

Deep understanding of significant aspects of lending, business models, and regulations in the banking and financial services industry

Ability to bring alignment among large, diverse, and often competing stakeholder groups to reach successful outcomes

Demonstrated success in defining a culture of product delivery across large organizations and stakeholder groups

Demonstrated success in driving growth through disciplined roadmaps and prioritization, collaboration, and varying delivery mechanisms

Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ten years of experience in all facets of banking, strategy, product development, organizational delivery models, customer experience and banking including four years of experience with nCino or similar lending platforms in banking environment including implementations in a banking environment.

Preferred Skills

Banking platform (nCino or other significant) implementation, ownership, continuous improvement experience

Line of Business or P&L and/or strategy ownership within Financial Services

nCino certifications for Commercial Banking, Customer Engagement, and/or Treasury Management
