Mid-sized, growing global law firm is looking for a Lateral Partner Recruiting Manager to join their team. This role is critical to the continued growth and success of our firm, as it focuses on identifying, attracting, and securing top-tier lateral partners. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in partner-level recruitment within a law firm setting and a deep understanding of the legal industry.

Hybrid schedule - 3 days a week in midtown, NYC. $200k-$275k

Job Description

Lead Lateral Partner Recruitment:

Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for lateral partners, from sourcing and initial outreach to offer negotiation and onboarding.Strategy Development:

Develop and execute strategic recruitment plans to identify and attract high-caliber partners who align with the firm's growth objectives and culture.Candidate Sourcing:

Utilize a variety of sourcing methods, including networking, headhunting, and leveraging industry contacts, to build a strong pipeline of potential lateral partner candidates.Candidate Assessment:

Evaluate candidates based on their legal expertise, client base, cultural fit, and alignment with the firm's strategic goals. Conduct in-depth interviews and assessments.Collaboration with Leadership:

Work closely with firm leadership, including Practice Group Leaders and the Executive Committee, to understand hiring needs and ensure alignment with the firm's strategic objectives.Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with potential candidates, ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.Market Intelligence:

Stay informed about market trends, competitor moves, and industry developments to anticipate hiring needs and proactively engage with top talent.Due Diligence:

Oversee the due diligence process for lateral partner candidates, including conflicts checks, background checks, and financial analysis.Onboarding:

The Successful Applicant

Experience:

Minimum of [5-7] years of experience in partner-level recruitment within a law firm or legal search firm.Industry Knowledge:

Deep understanding of the legal industry, particularly the dynamics of lateral partner movement and the factors influencing partner-level recruitment.Communication Skills:

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders and high-level candidates.Strategic Thinking:

Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of successfully recruiting high-impact partners.Confidentiality:
