What does a successful Scrum Master do at Fiserv?

Are you an experienced and dedicated Scrum Master passionate about driving Agile practices? Join our dynamic product development team at Fiserv, where you'll play a key role in guiding teams to success. We thrive on collaboration, communication, and continuous improvement, empowering our teams to deliver high-quality software efficiently by removing obstacles and fostering an Agile mindset.

What You Will Do:

Lead and guide our product development team through Scrum Agile practices, ensuring smooth execution and continuous improvement.

Advocate for Scrum principles, empowering and supporting the team to embrace an agile mindset.

Mentor and coach team members and the organization to adopt effective Scrum practices that foster growth and collaboration.

Work closely with the Product Owner to organize and prioritize high-value work for the product backlog.

Build strong relationships across departments to align development efforts with broader organizational goals.

Help establish and share team standards, best practices, and a clear Definition of Done.

Assist with Sprint planning, ensuring each backlog item has clear acceptance criteria and aligns with the team’s velocity.

Drive successful delivery outcomes by tracking and aligning team efforts with key results and metrics.

What You Need to Have:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience leading technical teams.

6+ years of experience as a Scrum Master within product development or engineering delivery teams.

Demonstrated success in managing technology teams to deliver impactful technology solutions.

Proven experience building and leading Scrum Agile teams.

Strong ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills in fast-paced environments.

Ability to drive team alignment and accountability for delivering key results.

What Would Be Great to Have:

Scrum Master certification (Scrum Alliance CSM® or higher).

Strong conflict management and resolution skills.

Experience with JIRA and Confluence for managing team and work execution.

Familiarity with CI/CD processes and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Ability to navigate complex technical challenges while balancing conflicting priorities.
