The Idaho Transportation Department is recruiting for an experienced IT professional that will oversee data architecture responsibilities for ITD, with a primary focus on developing a data program to catalog and organize data for current and future use. This position will identify the needs of the department and make architectural decision on how to best meet those needs with a data management program. This dynamic position is based at ITD Headquarters in Boise, Idaho, and requires demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience. Note: This position requires a criminal background check and may include statewide travel. Responsibilities include: + Creating a data management architecture by interacting with business stakeholders and industry experts. + Implementing the new strategy, and educating end users on the use and reason for the strategy. + Strategic planning to ensure the strategy will work for ITD and plan for adjustments to the strategy and architecture. Minimum Qualifications: + Good knowledge of management practices. + Considerable knowledge of current trends in information technology; + Computer hardware and software capabilities and limitations. Experience + Supervising the staff and activities of an IT function; + Participating in short-and long-range IT planning including developing and implementing policies and procedures.
