They serve as consultants, bridging the gap between HR functions and stakeholder objectives. While remote, the ability to travel and complete scheduled short-term assignments at assigned facilities/locations across the U.S. is an essential function of this role.BWXT’s Technical Services Group (TSG) is a premier manager of complex, high-consequence nuclear and national security operations for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA).As an HR Business Partner, you will:Lead from the Middle:

Collaborate and work closely with managers to provide day to day HR guidance.Promote Employee Development:

Partner with management and employees to promote positive employee relations and enhance work relationships.Monitor Workforce Planning:

Partner with leadership and Talent Acquisition to provide full-cycle support to meet staffing plans.Analyze Trends and Metrics:

Dive into HR data to identify trends and help the business make informed decisions.Resolve Complex Employee Relations Issues:

Tackle sensitive matters and strive for fair resolutions.Suggest New HR Strategies:

Innovate! Propose fresh approaches to improve processes.Provide HR Policy Guidance:

Interpret and communicate HR policies to employees at all levels.Competencies required to excel in this role:Agility:

Ability to convert HR knowledge into HR best practices.Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a closely related field.5 years of progressive experience as a human resource professional.Prior experience leading continuous improvement and/or operational excellence initiatives.Ability to travel and complete scheduled short-term assignments across the U.S.Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance.Preferred Experience:10 years of progressive experience as a human resource professional.Prior experience in human resources working with Department of Energy (DOE) government contracts.Pay: $63,000 - $125,000The base salary range for this position in Virginia is expected to be between $63,000 and $99,000 per year.
