With more than 13,000 employees around the world, we are committed to using our energy and heart to drive a better tomorrow.What you will doRole Overview:The Operational Technology (OT) Integration Engineer will be responsible for the design and integration of substation and plant control systems for renewable power plants under construction. You will also be responsible for the integration of the new project SCADAs into the Remote-Operations Control Center. This is a hybrid working position with three days in the office and two days remote.Main responsibilities:* Design and development of SCADA infrastructure for wind/solar/storage construction plants, including, but not limited to
Contract review (TSA, LGIA, PPA)
Development/review of technical specifications, scope of work and configuration guidelines
Review and execute requirements from ISOs, utilities and off takers
Design and testing of substation SCADA equipment (relays, IEDs, HMI)
Development and testing of Automatic Generator Control (AGC) algorithms
Execute FAT, commissioning, and project takeover tests
* Ensure power plants are built and operated in compliance with cybersecurity and NERC CIP regulations
* Collect, or review, and turnover to Operations project SCADA deliverables and documentation such as signals lists, control narratives, communication diagrams, and software configuration
* Enforce the use of technical specifications and design guidelines to ensure good workmanship
* Interface with and support internal organizations including the ROCC, Asset Operations, Market Operations, and Information Technology, Engineering and Construction
* Interface with and support external entities such as off takers/ISO/TSO, SCADA contractors, Turbine/PV/BESS suppliersEmployment typeFull-TimeWork siteHybrid- three days in the office and two days remote - Houston, TXWhat are we looking forMinimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in electrical/computer Engineering, computer science or any related field. Master's degree is preferred.2+ years' experience working with SCADA/EMS system design, substation controls and implementation, SCADA telemetry troubleshooting.Experience with object-oriented programming languages such as python, C++, JavaScriptExperience with SCADA software platforms such as Ignition, AVEVA, Simatic, FactoryTalk, CimplicityExperience with industrial protocols such as Modbus TCP/RTU, DNP3.0, IEC-60870-6/TASE.2, OPC-UA/DA/XMLExperience configuring & troubleshooting SEL devices such as RTACs, IEDS, relays, metersExperience with networking architecture designs (routing, firewall settings, VLAN, NAT) and troubleshooting using protocol analyzers.Experience with project execution, tracking, and reporting.
