We're seeking a talented Senior Software Engineering Manager to join our team.

In this position...

You will lead a passionate group of Engineers on the API Strategy for Ford Credit for its Digital Products. You will lead the application architecture discussions with Enterprise Architecture, engineers, product teams to define the fine-grained implementation plan for the development team.

You will be part of an Orchestration platform team that is responsible for API Security and a Federated GraphQL-based API platform. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will lead the next-gen strategy for the platform and enhance the CI/CD based practices while evolving SRE principles.

What you'll do...

Define a platform roadmap for the next few years enabling features for the current stack and paving the way for the future.

Provide thought & solution leadership from an API-first perspective and establish best-practices.

Understand high-level digital channel requirements, translate them into system and process requirements, and manage the system implementation including collaboration with the API Security, Enterprise Architecture, Digital Experiences, and domain services team.

Guide and mentor a team of 15-30 Engineers in setting their goals for the year and helping them accomplish the same, involving collaboration with both onshore and offshore teams.

You'll have...

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or related fields.

10+ years experience in managing/leading API/backend projects and/or teams.

Working experience and knowledge of end-to-end delivery from design, development, integrations, monitoring, and logging solutions into production operations.

Apollo GraphQL certifications are required.

Even better, you may have...

Masters degree in computer science, information systems or related fields.

Excellent oral and writing communication skills.

Understanding of Apollo Studio development environment and tools.

Project Management methodologies and tools, preferably Agile methodologies, Jira tools.

Familiarity with DevOps and Automation tools and processes like GitOps is a plus.

Experience in the Automotive industry is a plus, not mandatory.

Knowledge of GCP Platform is a plus.
