MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Master’s Degree in Communication Sciences and DisordersLicenses: Valid Washington SLP License
RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a Speech Language Pathologist at AIM, you'll play a pivotal role in transforming lives through effective communication. Your responsibilities include:
Planning and providing individual and group therapy aligned with IEP goalsEvaluating student progress and determining readiness for therapy service terminationConducting independent evaluations to assess eligibility for servicesParticipating in ARD Committee meetings for appropriate placement and goal settingCollaborating with teachers to enhance communication skills through classroom activitiesOffering professional development to school personnel on identifying and understanding communication deficitsEffectively communicating with colleagues, students, and parents about therapy goalsCreating a conducive learning environment suitable for student maturity levelsCoordinating ongoing evaluation of speech-language pathology services and implementing changes as neededAssisting in the selection of equipment and instructional materialsCompiling, maintaining, and filing all necessary reports and records
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Maintaining emotional control under stressDaily attendance and punctuality are essentialRegular district-wide travel; involving standing, stooping, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, heavy lifting, and moderate carryingMay involve lifting and transferring students with physical disabilities
