Job Description
Brightspeed has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Lead, Business Intelligence to join our rapidly growing IT organization. In this role, you will build and maintain reporting & insights systems that support our entrepreneurial business requirements. You will have a strong background in identifying solutions amidst large and complex data sets and the ability to transform insights into strategic opportunities.
In this position, you will be required to have a strong hands-on skills and experience as well as establishing close business relationships and stakeholders across the Field Operations and Service Assurance organizations.
As Senior Lead, Business Intelligence, your responsibilities will include:Design, develop and maintain our reporting infrastructure using the various reporting stacks including Power BI, SSRS, Tableau, Looker, and QlikSenseLead efforts to apply software engineering best practices to analytics solutionsLead the efforts for platform documentation, version controlling, and production releasesUtilize understanding of multiple data structures and sources to design, develop and implement decision support solutions, including data visualization, business intelligence, or data collectionConduct research and analysis of business situations to contextualize and summarize data for end usersDevelop innovative approaches to address complex data issues and business problemsCollaborate with internal stakeholders to define business requirements and uses those requirements to develop business intelligence reportsEvaluate business needs and objectives to inform your data architecture design solutionsAnalyze data from internal and external sources to ensure accurate data for analysts & business consumptionCreate reusable datasets ready for analysis by other analystsQualifications
WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:
Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, MIS, or similar quantitative field preferred4+ years of relevant experience as a data analyst, data engineer, IB developer or BI analyst with a strong technical foundationExperience with Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform preferredHands-on development experience with at least one of the leading reporting tools, including Power BI, SSRS, Tableau, Looker, and QlikSenseSolid experience in scripting with SQL, Python, JSON, LookML, and/or RSolid understanding of best engineering practices for the full software development life cycle (SDLC), including coding standards, code review, source control, build, test, deploy, and operationsDeep understanding of data warehousing concepts, database designs and data architectureExperience with big data technologies and advanced data analyticsGood written and verbal communication skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated strong interpersonal skills, leading, and participating in a team environmentAbility to work in a fast-paced environment concurrently on multiple projects with varying deadlinesCommitment to excellence - quality, detail and deadline drivenAbility to work independently without frequent directionAn entrepreneurial mindset and take ownership attitude#LI-SS1
