Coordinate, develop and assist with training, replication, implementation, collaboration, material/curriculum development and consultation to promote best practices and fidelity to firearm relinquishment laws to better reduce harm.Train, collaborate, consult, promote strategic information-sharing, including public information efforts, and engage in replication activities across the state to better address gun violence prevention and implementation of laws.Collaborate with unit members, PAO/SCAO and other OFSVP partners working on ERPO, OTSW and other firearm harm reduction efforts by adapting/developing model policies and protocols, tools, technical assistance, and training for law enforcement, prosecutors, other priority disciplines/service providers and members of the community.For law enforcement agencies in King County, the Coordinator will prioritize addressing needs identified in the 2023 OFSVP – RDVFEU report, such as protocols and best practices for electronic service, among other things.Serve as the Unit’s lead on public education efforts to include outreach to community groups, hospitals, service providers, civil legal aid, and others engaged in gun violence prevention and community violence intervention strategies.Update information provided to protected and restrained persons in readily accessible and plain language about OTSWs and ERPOs, understanding their respective roles, rights and responsibilities in compliance hearings, and respondents’ legal obligations to immediately comply (tasks to include websites, short videos and other internally and externally facing materials) on topics as needed or identified.Work with the Unit’s ERPO Advocate on expanding outreach to increase awareness and understanding of ERPOs among community members and service providers.Work with the RDVFEU Program Manager to help serve as the Unit’s liaison with the Criminal Justice Training Commission, WAPA, WASPC, WAMSA, WSP, AOC, Tribes, Local health Departments and the Regional Chiefs and Sheriff’s groups on an ongoing basis and as needed or directed.Actively participate in PAO equity work, attending equity trainings and discussions.Minimum Requirements:

5+ years of experience in related field(s) or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates a commitment to this subject matter and work.Prior experience developing and delivering training, training materials/curriculum (e.g. website materials, short videos, virtual or in-person curriculum/training materials, etc.) is an essential component of this role.Prior experience coordinating efforts across diverse disciplines, working collaboratively, and having direct service experience with survivors of crime, is a critical component of this role.Prior experience working with survivors of domestic violence, criminal prosecution and/or civil protection orders.Prior experience working with attorneys and law enforcement agencies.Ability to communicate professionally, clearly, and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with diverse stakeholders including co-workers, attorneys, survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking, witnesses, government officials, the court, and the public.Ability to exercise excellent judgment and discretion.Ability to work both independently and as a collaborative team player, thriving in high-pressure and stressful situations.Technical Skills:

Required: Excellent MS Office Suite experience, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.Experience with video creation and editing software programs.Creative content skills.The successful candidate will perform a variety of tasks that require the exercise of initiative and independent judgment with the ability to anticipate needs and appropriately respond.Knowledge of legal office practices and procedures.Experience or understanding of the operations of the Criminal Division is a plus.Candidates must possess excellent organizational skills.Strong interpersonal and communication skills to develop and deliver training materials/modules or communications with diverse audiences including community members, deputy prosecutors, law enforcement officers, defense attorneys, defense investigators, court personnel, judicial officers, witnesses, victims, and representatives of social service or other relevant agencies.Skills in responding in a positive, mature, and helpful manner.Analytical and critical thinking skills to make decisions and initiate action.Time management skills to handle multiple tasks often effectively and accurately within short deadlines.Ability to handle emergency situations and work under pressure.Skill in using computers and a variety of software such as Prosecutor by Karpel (PbK), Word, Adobe Pro and Excel; familiarity with other criminal justice programs is a plus.Must have demonstrated predictable and reliable attendance.Must be able and willing to accept supervision, feedback, and coaching.Commitment to Race, Equity and Social Justice work including ongoing cultural competence development.Desire to work with PAO colleagues and management to identify opportunities for improvement.Application Process:
