The Clinical Research Coordinator will support the research programs of Dr. Garber, including multi-site, NIH-funded studies of refeeding in body composition in anorexia nervosa, and a new pilot study on microbiome recovery in malnutrition.

Under supervision of Dr. Garber, the CRC's primary responsibilities will be enrolling participants and collecting data. Other responsibilities include managing IRB and other study records, working with CRS to ensure protocol adherence, and maintaining systems for collecting and managing data.

Administrative tasks include scheduling lab meetings, enrolling participants, scheduling study visits, and tracking participant protocol completion.

Data management roles will include assisting research personnel to keep patients on study schedules; completing study forms to submit to sponsors and/or appropriate agencies; collecting, entering and cleaning data in study databases, maintaining data quality; assisting with data analysis; assisting with preparation of reports and tables; attending team meetings; and performing other duties as assigned. In addition to these managerial tasks, the Clinical Research Coordinator will participate in scientific writing, including literature reviews, data assimilation and grant writing.

Note : This is a limited part-time position and will end one year from the start date. Additionally, this position requires a physical/health screening.Department Description

The Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine is an interdisciplinary teaching, service, consultation and research division within the Department of Pediatrics.Required Qualifications

HS graduation and sufficient experience and demonstrated skills to successfully perform the assigned duties and responsibilities; and/or equivalent experience/training.Demonstrated skills to successfully perform the assigned duties and responsibilities.Ability to work well independently, complete projects in a timely manner, and prioritize multiple projects to ensure the completion of essential tasks by deadlines.Attention to detail; strong interpersonal skills; excellent, effective verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with subjects, team members, other departments and outside institutions; and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while working with a diverse subject population.Preferred Qualifications

Degree in nutrition, public health, or other related field.Spanish-language proficiency.Advanced computer skills (Excel, MSWord and PowerPoint).Experience working with basic statistics.Experience with medical records review.Experience with EPIC (APeX).Experience with OnCore study tracking software and/or Qualtrics survey software.Experience with IRB management, study start-up tasks, single IRB processes, or other related clinical research experience.Experience in nutrition, public health, or related field.About UCSF
