Vanderbilt University Medical Center recently launched a board-approved, high-profile, and extensive laboratory expansion program. We seek a marketing operations and communications director to lead strategic planning, manage cross-channel marketing campaigns, and optimize performance to drive revenue growth. This role will be central to integrating a new CRM system, developing data-driven marketing strategies, overseeing funnel reporting, and ensuring seamless communication across teams, internal and external customers, and strategic partnerships.Key Responsibilities:

Lead high-level strategic marketing operations, including developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns that support the laboratory expansion program’s goals and drive revenue-optimizing performance across digital and traditional channels.Drive the implementation and integration of a new CRM system, ensuring seamless data flow between marketing, sales, and other business functions to optimize lead tracking, nurture strategies, customer engagement, and internal awareness.Utilize CRM and marketing analytics platforms to provide comprehensive insights into customer behavior, campaign performance, and funnel optimization, ensuring decisions are driven by real-time data.Develop funnel reporting that tracks each stage of the customer journey, identifying opportunities for improvement and ensuring marketing efforts are tied to measurable revenue outcomes.Create and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) directly connected to revenue, providing regular performance updates to senior leadership and making data-driven adjustments to improve results.Manage campaign performance analysis and optimization efforts, ensuring marketing spending is aligned with business objectives and delivers measurable growth.Develop communication materials such as press releases, newsletters, email campaigns, collateral, and social media content to ensure that the laboratory expansion is effectively communicated to key audiences.Oversee the development of a unified communications strategy that effectively engages internal/external stakeholders and customers, promoting the laboratory expansion program and ensuring alignment across digital, print, and in-person channels.Work closely with sales and other teams to ensure that marketing campaigns are aligned with business development goals and supported by a robust communications infrastructure.Oversee the design and ongoing development of the laboratory’s website, ensuring it effectively supports marketing goals and provides an engaging, user-friendly experience.Ensure the website is a key platform for lead generation and customer engagement, optimizing content and functionality to drive traffic and conversions.Continuously analyze and improve the website’s SEO, content structure, and overall performance, ensuring alignment with marketing strategies and brand messaging.Regularly analyze marketing performance against KPIs, providing detailed reports and insights to senior leadership while identifying areas for growth and improvement.Collaborate with Vanderbilt’s corporate marketing, communications, and engagement teams to ensure that all marketing and communication strategies are consistent with the overall brand message and organizational objectives.Ensure marketing activities comply with all company policies and healthcare industry regulations, particularly regarding data privacy and HIPAA standards.Position Qualifications:
