Hybrid Senior IT Project Manager

Seeking a PM that delivers IT projects within the company for which they are employed, where stakeholders are the internal business, across 1 or 2 functional areas supply chain, manufacturing, HR, finance, etc

PMs who would be managing external suppliers in the delivery of 3rd party systems.

The Senior Project Manager independently plans and carries out significant, complex and highly visible projects to achieve stated business objectives

Responsible for planning and execution of projects and programs from inception to implementation, ensuring delivery of necessary functionality and achievement of project objectives

Partners with business and IT leads to develop the business case, scope the work, build plans, and successfully manage risks and issues to deliver outcomes

May have 1 - 2 direct reports.

• Managing and controlling programs and large projects that are complex, cross-functional and strategic in nature.
• Documenting and tracking key information such as project objectives, assumptions, issues, risks, milestones, success criteria, and in/out of scope deliverables.
  • Project documentation - RAID log, project charter, etc.
• Managing project financials including budget, forecast and actuals.
  • Business case cost estimation
  • Quarterly capex forecast planning / actuals
• Creating the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), documenting tasks, identifying dependencies, developing and managing the milestone/task schedule and estimating project labor and non-labor costs
  • Project plan with clear milestones and stage gates
• Documenting and tracking key information such as project objectives, assumptions, issues, risks, milestones, success criteria, and in/out of scope deliverables
  • PMO status reports completed on time and with quality
• Managing scope changes, publishing clear and concise status communications, ensuring high quality deliverables and consistently satisfying expectations and requirements
• Motivating and assisting team members, organizing task assignments, facilitating team meetings, negotiating desired outcomes, balancing the needs of Business and IT stakeholders, and ensuring high quality processes and deliverables
• Managing vendors, drive service excellence and control costs
• Incorporating organizational change management (OCM) best practices into project scope and schedules as needed
• Mentoring IT project managers and other staff members as needed.; Manage direct reports (if applicable) - set goals, provide feedback, execute performance reviews
• Recommending solutions to address identified issues or problems
• Implementing Agile best practices where necessary.
• Facilitates project meetings (all Agile meetings Discovery Sessions, Iteration 0, Iteration Planning, Demo & Retrospective, Daily Stand-up, Backlog Grooming); completes project tracking/analysis reports
• Advocating for the PMO and serving as the subject matter expert on project management

• 10+ years' experience
• At least 8+ years in IT project management
• Experience working in a Project Management Office (PMO)
• Experience leading project teams; direct report management experience preferred
• Ability to resolve conflict, negotiate desired outcomes and influence others
• Strong familiarity with key business processes in the area of Finance, Sales, Supply Chain and Human capital management.
• ERP system implementation experience preferred
• Manufacturing, Agriculture industry experience ideal
• Ability to contribute to the authoring and governance of PMO policies and procedures
• Working knowledge of Organizational Change Management (OCM) best practices
• Travel 5-10%
• Advanced level of competency with various project methodologies including Waterfall, Hybrid and Agile
• Desired Certifications - PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe or equivalent certification
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university - Business, Management Information Systems, Computer Science
