Principal Consultant – M&A IT Infrastructure (Cloud, Data Centers, Networks) - Infosys ConsultingInfosys Consulting's Tech Transformation Advisory Practice is seeking a Principal Consultant specializing in IT Infrastructure. As a Principal Consultant specializing in IT Infrastructure, you will lead and manage complex projects that involve designing, implementing, and optimizing corporate IT infrastructure environments that include cloud services, data centers, network systems, end-user management system, cybersecurity and more. You will leverage your experience to provide IT strategic direction, drive operational excellence, and ensure the security and resilience of IT processes, operations, and systems.Key Responsibilities:

Strategic IT Leadership:

Lead IT infrastructure projects, ensuring they align with the overall business strategy and IT roadmap.Develop and present strategic roadmaps for IT transformation, focusing on optimization, efficiency, robust security, and cost savings.Collaborate with senior leadership ensuring proper program governance, and business continuity.Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in IT infrastructure, operations, and security, and lead their adoption where appropriate.IT Infrastructure Management:

Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable and resilient IT infrastructure, including cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), data centers, and network systems.Ensure seamless integration of hardware, software, and network systems for optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.Guide the migration and optimization of data centers and cloud services for efficiency and scalability.Develop strategies for corporate IT services including Service Desk, End User Compute (EUX), and Identity management (AD, AAD) to enhance user experience.IT Operations Excellence:

Implement IT operational frameworks and best practices (e.g., ITIL, COBIT) to enhance service delivery and operational performance.Lead transitions and transformations of IT services, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum efficiency.Ensure high standards of performance and reliability in IT operations, including Service Desk and Network Operations Center (NOC).IT Security Governance:

Establish and enforce IT security policies and standards to protect critical information assets.Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify and mitigate potential security threats.Ensure compliance with relevant security frameworks and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).Cloud and Data Center Strategy:

Design and implement cloud strategies (public, private, hybrid) that align with business goals, scalability needs, and cost optimization.Enhance data center operations, including capacity planning, disaster recovery (DR) strategies, and high availability configurations.Optimize performance using automation tools and orchestration platforms (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes).Client and Stakeholder Engagement:

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored IT solutions.Present project updates, findings, and recommendations to client executives in a clear and concise manner.Act as a trusted advisor, guiding stakeholders through IT transformation processes.Team Leadership and Development:

Lead project teams, ensuring clear communication, effective collaboration, and timely delivery of milestones.Mentor and develop team members, fostering continuous learning and professional growth.Project / Program Management:

Oversee project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation to ensure goals and timelines are met.Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track project success, including uptime, incident resolution time, and cost savings.Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.Minimum of 7+ years in IT infrastructure, with significant exposure to IT operations and security.Consulting or client-facing experience preferred.M&A experience is beneficial but not required.Deep understanding of IT infrastructure components (servers, storage, networks, cloud services).Expertise in IT operations management tools and methodologies (ITIL, COBIT).Knowledge of IT security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST) and technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM).Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.Ability to travel up to 100%.U.S. citizens and those authorized to work in the U.S. are encouraged to apply.
