Job Summary:The IT Support position is responsible for providing technical assistance for business operations. This position will install, upgrade and troubleshoot hardware and software systems. The IT Support position communicates effectively with both clients and technicians, translates technical needs into business solutions and possesses a broad IT knowledge. This position encompasses a problem-solving attitude along with the ability to give clear technical instructions and familiarity with remote troubleshooting techniques
Essential Functions (Including but not limited to):Address user support tickets regarding hardware, software and networking and meet SLA'sGuide users through installing applications and computer peripheralsAsk targeted questions to diagnose problemsGuide users with simple, step-by-step instructionsConduct remote troubleshootingTest alternative pathways until issue is resolvedCustomize desktop applications to meet user needsRecord technical issues and solutions in logsDirect unresolved issues to the next level of support personnelFollow up with user to ensure systems are functionalReport user feedback and potential product requestsAid in creating technical documentation and manualsMaintain and resolve issues on LAN/WANPerform any other duties as assigned in support of the company needs and operations.Qualifications/Requirements:
Proven work experience as a Desktop Support Engineer, Technical Support Engineer or similar roleHands-on experience with Windows/Linux/Mac OS environmentsExperience with computer and peripherals (printers and scanners) setup and troubleshootingKnowledge of network security practices and anti-virus programsAbility to perform remote troubleshooting and provide clear instructionsExcellent problem-solving and multitasking skillsExcellent interpersonal skills and a team-player attitude
Core Technical Skills:Windows 8/10, Server 2012MS Office, O365, Exchange/Outlook,Experience with IT Ticket system and IT Management system, experience with AutoTask and/or Kaseya is a plus.Active Directory Admin capabilities: create/delete mailboxes, distribution lists, experience with GPONetworking gear: Routers, Switches, FirewallsExperience with Cisco and SonicWall are a plusExperience with spam filters, experience Mimecast is a plus
Salary Range:$60,000-$80,000
