As a Capital One Software Engineer, you''ll have the opportunity to be on the forefront of driving a major transformation within Capital One.This team works on a platform known as the Feature Platform, which is a part of the organization known as C4ML, one of the Machine Learning Platforms within Capital OneThe Feature Platform allows Data Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers to create and compute features which are then fed into the Machine Learning Models for different types of customer facing use cases such as fraud detection.The Feature Platform is thus an integral part of a larger Machine Learning Platform which will eventually be Capital One''s enterprise wide ML platform. We have a bold vision for this platform. There is a solid pipeline of work planned for enhancing both Feature Platform and the ML platform as a whole This team in particular works on components that provide API based interfaces for spinning up ephemeral infrastructure used for computing features. We work with Python, GO, Kubernetes, many different AWS services such as ECS, Dynamo DB, EMRs, SQS/SNS and much more. The team also builds CI/CD pipelines for continuous deployment of components into production and implements solutions related to security, reliability, scalability and performance as and when needed. There are many different components within the Feature Platform and there is always flexibility and opportunity to work on different things, if any one is so inclined.
