Position Purpose:Manages the enterprise-wide storage and data protection platforms and technologies. Assists with the creation and ongoing development of the storage and data protection program for the enterprise with focus on scalability, interoperability, and availability to meet the business outcomes.Works with vendors to POC (Proof of Concept) new products and enhance capability of existing platformsFacilitates capacity planning and perform analysis of the current landscape of storage workloads and storage pools. Define target/future state of storage landscapeIdentifies the data storage, management, protection and disaster recovery requirements of various applications and business systems in use across the core shared infrastructureParticipates in disaster recovery infrastructure planning, building, and testingSupports mission critical projects, leading POCs, implementation and testing plans and working with internal customers on the determination of requirementsDrives the deployment, maintenance, and support of all infrastructure in scope of the storage teamAssists with planning, testing and provision of detailed steps to ensure successful completion of storage hardware and software upgrades and maintenance workOversees capacity management of storage systems - both on premise and cloud resourcesDevelops backup and disaster recovery policies and procedures as it pertains to the primary storage infrastructureDefines the road map for the design of storage solutions for on premise and cloud environmentCommunicates architecture decisions, roadblocks, and timelines to stakeholdersPerforms other duties as assignedComplies with all policies and standardsEducation/Experience:A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science).Requires 4 - 6 years of related experience.
Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position.
