This position will report directly to the Purchasing Supervisor and is responsible for the Purchase and Expediting of Materials and Equipment for the Riley Power Inc. - Parts Division. The primary responsibility of this role is to issue Purchase Orders to suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of all goods while balancing cost efficiency and upholding the highest quality standards.

Essential Responsibilities:Negotiate pricing and issue Purchase Orders in compliance with departmental procedures, leveraging a global supply chain to source materials and services.Ensure all supplier agreements align with company standards, while optimizing cost savings, lead times, and quality.Manage supplier schedules and progress reporting of material procurement, fabrication, assembly and test, shipping preparation and shipment.Provides regular material status updates in the weekly production meetings.Anticipation and risk mitigation of issues that will impede a supplier's performance in fulfilling purchase order requirements.Address and resolve supplier-related issues to ensure timely delivery of goods and services according to schedule.Collaborates frequently with key stakeholders, including Management, Sales, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality.Utilize the Company's ERP system to reconcile and close out supplier purchase order lines as appropriate.Job Requirements / Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

Education: A College degree is preferred but not required.Experience:One (1) year of Purchasing, Supply Management and/or Expeditor experience. Knowledge of Logistics and General manufacturing practices is helpful. Knowledge of Castings or Machining is a plus.Computer Skills: Requires above average computer skills including Database experience, and MS Office.
