Although services are a bigger part of Apple’s business than ever before, these teams remain small, nimble, and cross-functional, offering greater exposure to the array of opportunities here.DescriptionAs an Engineer on the ASE Pricing team, you'll support Apple's provider portal integration with our financial system, provider onboarding, contracts, tax and banking, and payment report integration for all of Apple's digital content including apps, music, movies, and books on the App Store and iTunes Store. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with multiple exciting engineering teams, business operations, production support, site reliability engineering, quality assurance, and infrastructure teams. The responsibilities include hands-on coding, design, requirements elicitation & refinement, technical documentation, production support, unit testing, and quality performance. You should join us to help deliver the next amazing Apple product.Minimum QualificationsExtensive experience with JavaOver 5 years of experience in designing, implementing, and supporting highly scalable backend applicationsExperience crafting and implementing RESTful/RPC API and services.Significant experience with SQL databases like Oracle and NoSQL like Cassandra.Strong production, debugging, and performance tuning experiences and skills.Experience working on complex problems and distributed systems where scalability and performance are extremely important (every millisecond counts)Ability to adapt to and contribute to the team best practices in coding patterns & standards across multiple code repositories, unit testing and continuous deploymentShould be independent and able to effectively work with cross-functional teamsPreferred QualificationsHands-on experience with Scala and big data technologies such as Spark and Kafka is a plus.Experience with compute/container platforms such as K8s.Apple is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to inclusion and diversity.
