Data Governance Lead . The Data Governance Lead will be instrumental in establishing and maintaining data governance policies and procedures across the organization. Under limited supervision, you will provide comprehensive advanced level business and system solutions by creating frameworks for managing lineage, business glossary, data dictionary, data classification, data quality, and ensuring that data is used responsibly and efficiently. You will work closely with various stakeholders to build an internal network of data stewards/data owners to implement data governance practices that support current and future business objectives. What you will do:Established subject matter expert for business customers and technical resources. Maintains awareness of business process and technology solution best practices within a specific business segment or multiple business segmentsFacilitates the collection, development and implementation of data governance policies and procedures, ensuring they are aligned with business objectives and are not overly bureaucratic. Identifies opportunities for process improvementLeads collection and analysis of possible project engagements, documenting project scope (objectives, deliverables, critical success factors, assumptions, global and regional considerations, and resource requirements), prioritization, cost/benefit, potential risks, and feasibilityDemonstrates comprehensive business and technical knowledge in master data management (MDM) to lead activities with the appropriate level of customer engagement to ensure that customer interests are represented in all testing stagesConducts the production and review (from content to final draft) of user guides, training classes, and other end user documentation for a data catalog and data dictionary, providing clear definitions and standards for data useCollaborate with various stakeholders to ensure data governance practices are understood and followed. Alerts IT leadership when traceability appears weak, or is lost, and recommends a remedy. When changes to the requirements occur, leads impact analysis, and recommends follow-through actionsLeads the development of a self-service analytics environment, promoting best practices and data literacyOversee data quality assurance (DQA) initiatives, ensuring data is accurate and reliableForges a network of beneficial relationships with all levels, emphasizing management, within IT organizations and the customers of IT in order to establish mutual trust and provide a foundation for high level project partnership. Leads the interaction with third parties including application service providers and partnersCoordinates with the PMO and other departments to align data governance efforts with broader business goalsLeads the preparation of documentation and presentations, chairs meetings, and delivers presentations while managing customer expectations at all levels, with emphasis on senior managementSkillfully applies influence, negotiates, and mediates discussions needed to make progress towards achieving business goals and objectives. Leads tradeoffs discussions and conflict resolution activitiesProvides second level support, relating to business applications and processes, and escalation support for aging unresolved issuesProvides guidance to more junior team members in all aspects of data governance and business systems analyst supportWhat's in it for you:

Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field6+ years of experience in data governance, data management, a related field or an equivalent combination of education and 5+ years' related experience requiredWork visa sponsorship is not available for this positionPreferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related area
