Senior Instructional Designer who will
work onsite
at our client office in Anaheim, CA. We are looking for a Senior Instructional Designer to use innovative approaches to design and develop learning experiences and performance support tools. The Senior Instructional Designer will design, develop, implement, and evaluate content that is compelling and enhances retention for hourly and salaried audience groups for instructor-led, eLearning, virtual, and/or simulation training in Storyline and Articulate 360. This role is for someone who is an experienced Instructional Designer and
loves to develop content in Storyline and Articulate 360.
The goal is to facilitate learners in acquiring knowledge, skills, and competencies in an effective and appealing manner to best support organizational and business objectives.
The Senior Instructional Designer will serve as the principal consultant and partner with Subject Matter Experts, client representatives, and the project leader in the overall development and delivery of the training solution and any associated performance support materials. The Senior Instructional Designer will receive guidance from senior staff members.
Duties:
Create content in Storyline and Articulate 360 that aligns with learning goals
Work with Subject Matter Experts to identify course specifics
Apply tested instructional design theories, practices, and methods utilizing the ADDIE model
Create supporting material/media (360 photos, audio video, simulations, role plays, interactive activities, photos, etc)
Track project progression and completion in project management software program
Maintain project documentation and course folders
Job training will be during the day shift and after training general work duties will be performed during the
night shift
Required Qualifications:
BS or MA degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Organizational Development, or similar
Minimum
5
years or more experience in Instructional Design and the design and development of training programs
Proven work experience in
Articulate 360 and Storyline
Demonstrate strong project management skills
Excellent knowledge of the instructional systems design process, adult learning models and strategy, needs assessment, and performance measurement
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver quality, client-focused results on time and within budget
Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts
Proven proficiency in course development software
Visual design skills and ability to storyboard
Proven proficiency in photography
Able to carry photography equipment to project site
Proven strong consulting/client management skills
Demonstrated strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated strong partnering skills
Proven strong ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment
Proven strong ability to be self-motivated and flexible when something does not go according to plan
1 year commitment with possible extensions
Desired Qualifications:
Master's degree in Instructional Systems Design, Organizational Development, or equivalent
Proven experience in an Instructional Designer role
Minimum 10 years experience in Education or Training and Development
Proven experience in designing programs for various subject matters and audience
Proven ability to partner with internal and external clients at all levels of the organization
