The Opportunity

DAT is looking for a

Software Engineer in Test, Mid-Level

to join our team. This position will work hybrid in either our Denver, Colorado or Beaverton, Oregon offices.

Candidate profile

As a Middle Level Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), you will contribute to the development and maintenance of test automation frameworks. You will focus on creating robust automation test suites for our new generation of microservices supporting DAT's cloud-based SaaS platform. This includes developing and maintaining regression test collections

What You'll DoContribute to a team doing greenfield work that is transforming DAT's core business search capabilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress, TypeScript, and Postman for API testing.Work with the other Software Engineers and Product Owners to understand product requirements and translate them into effective test cases.Develop and execute SQL test cases to validate data integrity and database operations.Conduct UI testing as needed to ensure seamless user experience.Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams to resolve issues promptly.Help create a system that supports rapid software development and production deployment without manual testing being necessaryThe Skills and Experience You'll Bring

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical disciplineExperience using testing frameworks like Cypress and Postman, SQLAbility to develop in javascript, typescriptExperience with UI automation testing frameworks.Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.Experience with cloud-based testing environments.Solid understanding of software development lifecycle and testing methodologies.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Be able to work on large tasks with little day to day oversightExperience in canary style testingKnowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operationsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsWhy DAT? For Colorado-based candidates, in compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the

minimum salary

for this role is $95,000.00 + benefits. The maximum compensation for this role can vary significantly depending on your job-related skills and experience. DAT considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education and training, core skills, internal equity, and market and business elements when extending an offer.
