This is a 12 month contract with Vanguard. Onsite hybrid in Malvern PA. Visa - All, no H1B. Linkedin. This is a Sr. developer role. Need a short whire up from the candidate how they fit for this role.
Needs to be a senior developer that understands Site Riliability Engineering. They work on applications that monitor health and stability of other applications.
The team member will support the following core responsibilities including and not limited to:•Maintain a high performing team/engineering culture•Work with the team in supporting site reliability for both test and production environments for Retail SI by leveraging technologies (i.e. AppDynamics, Splunk) to evaluate and monitor overall Retail applications health and stability, developing and enforcing standards (monitoring KPIs), adopting monitoring techniques and standards for AWS, training IT product teams on monitoring tools and techniques, evaluating monitoring signal anomalies, and leading log pollution elimination and enforcement•Enable the success of our tier 1 24x7 TCS managed services team and SREs/developers in responding to major production incidents that affect Retail SI, partnering with the Major Incident Management Team, engaging necessary support groups, and supporting mean time to recover•As needs arise, provide technical leadership in the other critical divisional project owned by the team
Qualities of the ideal candidate:•Outstanding technical leadership and mentoring skills•Strong track record of collaboration with technical staff•Full stack Java development and IT operations experience•Extensive experience with and a passion for Agile(Scrum, Kanban, SAFe), Lean, Extreme Programming(XP)•Desired technologies: Angular JS, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, REST-based web services, Linux, AWS•Working knowledge in DevSecOps, site reliability engineering (SRE) concepts and monitoring tools (Splunk, AppDynamics)•Consistent delivery of strong business results with alignment to organizational goals•Clear and effective communication at all levels•Strong conceptual thinking/strategic/analytical/problem solving skills•Manage complexities, large scope initiatives, conflicting priorities, ambiguity well•Willingness and availability to support off hours (nights/weekends) as needed
