Introduction

Visium Resources has been asked to identify qualified candidates for this Data Engineer position. This position is a direct hire opportunity which is expected to be 99.999%

remote . The candidate MAY be asked to come to Orlando for discovery session with the CIO and/or perhaps present, but that will be a rarity and also reimbursed.

The only location-based requirement is that the candidate MUST live in Florida. The client can not consider anyone that is not a resident, despite the job being remote.

Summary

The Data Analytics Engineer collaborates with business users and data team members to translate and build dataset representations and tools, aiming to create datasets that will allow business users to understand and evaluate the information provided within the data. This involves providing clean data sets to end users and performing data modeling, while training business users on how to use data visualization tools to their best advantage.

Primary Job Functions

1. Collaborate with business users and data team members to translate and build dataset representations and tools, aiming to create datasets that will allow business users to understand and evaluate the information provided within the data.

Data Modeling Design & Data Set Creation

Lead efforts to design data models and build curated data sets that serve as the foundation of reporting and analytics. Collaborate with subject matter experts (SME's) within Operations program leadership, the Quality and Data Resources Teams, as well as data owners, data stewards, and data custodians to create analytics pipelines. Work with disparate data from multiple systems, sources, business service areas, and data domains. Remove and reduce technical debt and automate manual operations. Manipulate raw data to make it more available, organized, and easier to analyze, making sure that assigned programs can understand their data and use it to solve problems, answer questions, and/or make decisions. Transform, test, extract, and load data, while providing continuous integration. Maintain all data documentation and transfer data from a variety of sources into a single common destination to then analyze the data. Explore and implement additional tools that support operational and analytical data needs of programs and the broader organization.

Business User Support

Work with stakeholders to translate business needs and ideas into tractable technical user stories and backlog items. Interpret requests from stakeholders and translate those requirements into mediums that drive insights in collaboration with data consumers and data analysts. Assist in advancing business users' data analytics IQ by socializing best practices, design patterns, and training resources regarding business intelligence tool use and interactive dashboard construction. Train business users on various data visualization and analytics tools.

Business Administration, Compliance & Support

Participate in analytics roadmap decision-making, serving as a strategic partner to all business lines and functions. Support project initiatives and work plans for different business lines and programs. Ensure work is undertaken in compliance with IT security and privacy, including HIPPA, etc. Prepare and disseminate updates and reports to senior, operational, and functional management regarding task assignments. Build organizational relationships, collaborate, and coordinate relationships with CHS team members, vendors, and contractors. to achieve successful business outcomes.

Qualified candidates would have the following:

Education, Licenses & Certifications:

BA/BS in Statistics, Software Engineering, Computer Science, IT or related degree required; MA/MS strongly preferred.

Data Analytics or Engineering Certifications in Google, IBM, Power BI, CompTIA, etc. are a plus.

Experience:

* Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in data-driven landscapes, required.

* Experience with programming languages and software engineering best practices.

* Experience with BI Tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, Looker, as well as experience with cloud-based data warehousing, such as RedShift, Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery.

* Experience with GIT or other recognized code versioning platform.

* Experience with nonprofit organization analytics, a plus.

Competencies

Knowledge of: DATA ANALYTICS, QUERY LANGUAGES, VISUALIZATION TOOLS AND BUSINESS OPERATIONS

Proficiency in :

* Database query languages, such as SQL, as well as data production and consumption.
