Job Description:As our Consultant Storage Administrator, you will play a crucial role in managing and ensuring the performance, reliability, and availability of our storage systems.You will be responsible for maintaining security and controls that meet or exceed organizational guidelines, developing disaster recovery plans, designing system enhancements, automating processes, and providing operations support. This role requires interaction with various support areas for problem escalations, resolutions, reporting, and coordination.Key Responsibilities:

Manage system performance, reliability, and availability to meet service level agreements.Ensure that hardware and application security and controls meet or exceed organizational guidelines.Develop, manage, and maintain a comprehensive disaster recovery plan for all managed systems.Design and implement rollouts of system enhancements and upgrades.Create standards for supported systems, develop documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).Automate processes using VMWare automation tools.Provide ongoing operations support, including interaction with the Service Center, Network Control Center, and other business support areas for problem escalations, resolutions, and coordination.Must-Have Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline is preferred with 8-12 years of relevant work experience.Hands-on experience in a GDPS, Global Mirror, Metro Mirror, HiperSwap environment.Thorough knowledge and expertise with HCD in a large-scale enterprise environment with numerous CECs across multiple locations.Knowledge of Brocade SAN equipment and associated management tools (Brocade Network Advisor).Experience installing and configuring IBM Mainframes, Virtual Tape systems, and DS8000 DASD.Knowledge of dataset structures (PDS, PDSE, GDG, VSAM, etc.).Experience administering DFSMS policies and constructs. - Knowledge and experience with IBM Flashcopy processes.Knowledge of FDR/ABR and DFDSS.Experience with CA1 Tape Management Software. - Experience with TDMF.Proficient in Assembler, Automation, GDPS, Rexx, and CLIST.Proficiency in security software tools (RACF and ACF2) and performance monitoring using Omegamon, RMF, SMF, and SAS.Additional certifications in storage management and related technologies.Knowledge of emerging storage technologies and trends.Experience with cloud storage solutions and integrations.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.Excellent communication and documentation skills.make a significant impact on our organization's success.
