EPS MYCAP 6-8 ADVISORY TEACHER LEAD

The MyCAP 6-8 Teacher Leads will be members of EPS K-8 schools who will be responsible for planning and implementing, with the support of the MyCAP 6-8 Advisory Liaison, any and all aspects of the EPS MyCAP Program in their respective schools.

The Teacher Leads will work independently and meet regularly (in-person or virtually) with other Teacher Leads and with the MyCAP 6-8 Liaison to assess, plan, coordinate, implement, and continually reevaluate the EPS MyCAP 6-8 Advising program. Some activities will include utilizing the platforms such as Schoolinks and Pathful, communicating with teachers, coordinating family engagement, and hosting an end-of-year MyCAP Showcase.

The MyCAP 6-8 Teacher Leads will work a total of thirty (30) hours between September 15, 2024 and June 30, 2025.

The MyCAP 6-8 Teacher Leads will have regular meetings which may be in-person or remote and which will be outside of the contractual work day. Some work may need to be completed at night or on weekends. The Teacher Leads will work with the EPS SEL Director and the EPS Health and Wellness Coordinator and district leadership in whatever capacity is needed.

REQUIREMENTS : Must be a current EPS K-8 teacher/ guidance counselor/ school leader in Unit A of Everett Teachers Association; strong knowledge of MyCAP.

PREFERRED : Strong knowledge of MyCAP, needs of English Learners or Special Education students, strong familiarity with the school and district.

NUMBER OF POSITIONS : 11 - 2 Teacher Leads for each of the K-8 schools and 1 Teacher Lead for the Devens School.

WORK TIME AND STIPEND : 30 total hours. $40 per hour. Total stipend of $1,200.
