Software Engineer Intern (Python)
to be a part of our Research and Technology (R&T) team based out of our New York office, in Summer 2025. This is an exciting position offering opportunities to gain exposure to enterprise software development practices at a global hedge fund.
Position Responsibilities
Aid in the development of new lines of business solutions using Python, and SQLSupport senior staff in designing and implementing complete solutions for our front office/risk systems.Provide support for in-house and 3rd party applicationsQualifications & Desired Skills
Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Quantitative FinanceExperience with the Python ecosystem of common libraries and working knowledge of at least one statically typed languageGood grasp of computer science fundamentals (e.g. data structures, algorithms, operating systems etc.)Familiarity with object-oriented programmingStrong problem-solving skills and commitment to high standards for codeInterest or prior experience in the financial trading industry (particularly in fixed income) a plusAbility to work effectively in a high-energy, time-sensitive team environmentDetail-oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills
This role is also eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits, such as a discretionary bonus, healthcare plan, 401(k) matching program, etc. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education.
Base Salary for this role is expected to be between:
$45-$55 USD
