Axiom Connected is looking for a talented DevOps Engineer to join our team at our headquarters office in St. Louis, Missouri. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the deployment workflow of a PHP-based RESTful API and several React front-end single-page applications using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). The DevOps Engineer will also be tasked with recommending and implementing improved workflows and managing the execution of database migrations.

Job Responsibilities

Manage and maintain the deployment pipeline for PHP-based RESTful APIs and React single-page applicationsDevelop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Bitbucket Pipelines, Azure DevOps or other approved CI/CD pipeline toolsImplement and manage container orchestration using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration managementMonitor and troubleshoot system performance, reliability, and securityManage execution of database migrations and ensure seamless integration with deployment processesCollaborate with development teams to ensure smooth and efficient release cyclesUnderstand the codebases sufficiently to configure and deploy applications correctlyRecommend and implement improvements to deployment workflows and DevOps practicesEnsure high availability and scalability of applicationsDesign, implement, and test disaster recovery plansImplement and manage logging, monitoring, and alerting systemsMaintain documentation for infrastructure and deployment processesStay up to date with industry trends and best practices in DevOps and cloud computingQualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experienceProven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar roleStrong knowledge of PHP and React applicationsHands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools, particularly Kubernetes and DockerExperience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) or other cloud-based Kubernetes servicesProficiency in CI/CD tools such as Bitbucket Pipelines or Azure DevOpsStrong scripting skills in languages such as Bash or PowerShellExperience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or ARM templatesKnowledge of database management and experience with database migrationsFamiliarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or Azure MonitorAbility to understand and work with the codebases to configure and deploy applicationsExcellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsStrong communication and collaboration skillsPreferred Qualifications

Experience with Helm for Kubernetes package managementFamiliarity with Symfony and managing Symfony applicationsKnowledge of Azure services beyond AKS, such as Azure Container Registry (ACR) and Azure SQL DatabaseExperience with implementing security best practices in cloud environmentsAxiom Benefits
