Lead Firmware Engineer

to work as part of a highly engaged small team within a global organization of 12,000+ employees, representing 30+ brands (including Schlage, Von Duprin and LCN) focused on safety, security and access management. You’ll work on solutions that will enable seamless access and help keep you and your loved ones safe and secure where they work, live and thrive.

What you’ll do:

Collaborate across multiple disciplines and departments

Lead firmware specification development, design, coding, testing, and debugging

Participate in code reviews and create technical documentation

Create and manage firmware development schedules

Provide day to day direction and oversight to other firmware engineers

Solve problems and lead others in resolving problems

Identify system risks and develop mitigation plans

Ensure adherence to engineering best practices and procedures

Create and manage system and firmware requirements

What we’re looking for:

A Bachelor's degree

7+ years of relevant experience

An expert in ARM Cortex M Series microcontrollers and embedded C language

Significant experience with communication standards and protocols

Experience with the design and development of connected home products

Experience with systems thinking and a systems-based approach to product design

Interest and familiarity with digital signal processing such as filtering, conditioning, and FFT

Interest and familiarity with algorithm design and development
