JOB TITLE: IT Help Desk Technician - Tier 1

Reports to: Director of Information Technology

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for general IT and A/V support on all Rochambeau Campuses. Every effort has been made to identify the essential functions of this position. Provide end user support services in the following areas: iOS devices/Windows 11, MS Office (2021 and 365), Google Workspace, wireless and wired network connectivity, Projectors (Wireless and Wired), Interactive Displays, Printers/Copiers, etc. (including future technologies and platforms that are vetted and onboarded).

RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, the selected individual must be able to perform each of these responsibilities:Provide Tier 1+ technical support to all community technology users (faculty and staff, students, and parents)Respond to user requests in a timely fashion based on a combination of order, urgency, and impactManage user accounts in a variety of systems, including creating, disabling, grouping, etc.Perform scheduled and impromptu technology tasks in support of larger departmental initiativesManipulate spreadsheets, documents, and other data sources to support departmental operationsParticipates in meetings (team/vendor/other) as scheduled/necessary for the operation and growth of the departmentDeploy devices (iOS devices, Chromebooks, PCs) using a variety of tools. (Securly and Acronis Snap Deploy (in mass to start each year and periodic updates in cart and classroom deployments)Stay aware of all current technology trends (hardware, software, technology trends in schools, etc.) as part of your professional growthCommitment to Rochambeau's vision, mission, values and strategic aimsPerform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Possess 2 years of relevant, hands-on technical experience with the above listed responsibilities, and:

Bachelor's degree, preferably in a technical discipline preferredCompTIA A+ or Network+ preferredExperience in supporting technology in a K-12 environment preferredUnderstanding of general network concepts (IP, DNS, etc.)Understanding/Willingness to learn current audio/video platforms used within our school environment to support our academic program and event needsAbility to learn new skills and technologies as the position requiresExperience with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365Commitment to seeing projects through to completionExcellent verbal and written communication skillsEnglish language proficiency requiredFrench language proficiency helpful

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Working knowledge of current computing technologies and mobile device platforms. Able to solve problems and to support user growth by sharing accessible solutions to technical problems. Ability to communicate and provide solutions to users of all skill sets and needs. Must be familiar with all policies and procedures.
