Role: Data Architect with Data ModelingDearborn,MI - OnsiteJob descriptionThe position needs a strong architect with experience in designing information and data models to support various major initiatives in Marketing Sales and Service.The candidate will be part of Information / Data Architecture Practice supporting major initiatives in Marketing Sales and Service plus Portfolio. The position requires a strong architect with comprehensive knowledge of data architecture, hands on experience in data model design, data quality analysis and good understanding of data analytics architecture. As Information / Data Architects, the candidate will work with enterprise architects, solution architects, business, and product teams to create strategy, design data models, information flows, perform data quality analysis, set standards, best practices, and guide product teams in implementation of the design.Primary responsibility includes the following:Collaborate with business, enterprise architects, product teams, drive discussions to gather business requirements and identify pain points. Create information strategy and solution to address gaps.Create information architecture roadmap with now, near and far view.Facilitate discussions to understand source of data, establish system of record, and create current & future state data flows.Lead design discussions, create conceptual data models, logical data models and data dictionaries. Manage and maintain data models in Power Designer repository.Define reporting strategy and identify sources for reporting data.Perform data quality analysis, identify issues, and propose solution to resolve them.Guide product teams to create physical data model design and data dictionary. Review design adherence and ensure standards, guidelines & best practices are followed.Consult and guide product team through design and implementation.Required TechnologyRequires a bachelor's or equivalent degree in computer science, information technology or a technology related field7+ years Data Modeling experience with expertise in Relational and/or Dimensional Analysis5+ years in experience in Data Warehouse database designHave a deep understanding of data modeling principles and architecture concepts.Extensive experience designing databases supporting complex business process.Experience in supporting database technologies - Oracle, DB2, Teradata, Hadoop, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Big QueryHands on experience on SAP Sybase Power Designer / ERWIN tool is ideal.Knowledge of Data Analytics, Google Cloud TechnologiesExperience in implementing MDM solution.Nice to have Salesforce and CRM experienceAbility to facilitate and lead design discussions, coordinate with multiple teams and drive architecture decisionsMust be capable of successfully supporting multiple initiatives concurrentlyCapable to work well individually and as a team memberAbility to listen and communicate
