Information Technology (IT) supports campus-wide business applications, including the enterprise wide ERP system for both Supply Chain and Financials including but not limited to: the PeopleSoft Financials system, AllScripts (Health procurement system), BearBuy (Campus procurement system), and IT Recharge system. The Senior Business Systems Analyst provides functional and technical expertise to support these business application systems. This expertise includes daily production system support, implementation of new enhancements, and upgrades of current systems.

The Senior Business Systems Analyst assists users in using the business application systems; resolve production system issues; analyze new business requirements; create specification to meet new requirements; lead system testing, cross-functional teams integration testing, and end-user acceptance testing.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $170,500 (Annual Rate).To learn more about the benefits of working at UCSF, including total compensation, please visit: https://ucnet.universityofcalifornia.edu/compensation-and-benefits/index.htmlDepartment DescriptionInformation Technology Business Application Functional Analysis team supports enterprise-wide business applications, including PeopleSoft Financials system, Allscripts procurement and payables systems, BearBuy procurement system, IT Recharge system, and other financial reporting tools. We ensure the day-to-day operation of these systems as well as the implementation of new enhancements due to organizational need.

Required QualificationsBA Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or BS in Computer Science, Information System, or related field and 5 or more years of directly related experience; and/or equivalent experience/training.5+ year of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or equivalent role3+ years of experience in relational database, SQL, or system development life-cycle project; and/or equivalent experience/training.Demonstrated testing and test planning skills.Demonstrated experience as a senior resource assisting in the definition of systems strategy, gathering and documenting business requirements, leading fit-gap analysis, as-is and to- be business process designs, conference room pilots (CRPs) functional configuration, testing, client user trainingAdvanced knowledge of business and process analysis functions.Advanced skills and methodologies associated with process and software design, modification and implementation.Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team. Able to learn effectively and meet deadlines. Demonstrates problem solving skillsDemonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical personnel at various levels inthe organization.
