Overview/ Job Responsibilities
Sev1Tech is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Network Engineer to join our team in supporting the US Space Force meshONE-T program. This position will assist in the management, configuration, and troubleshooting of the network infrastructure and is ideal for someone looking to build a career in network engineering and gain hands-on experience with networking technologies. This position is based out of the Denver, CO area.Implement various network solutions including design, configuration, integration, testing, launch, troubleshooting and ongoing support of innovative networking technologiesPerform system-level design and configuration of products, such as routers, switches, NGFW, and other network devicesSupport the testing and installation of network communications systems, including LAN/ WAN systemsDiagnose and resolve network issues related to hardware, software, and connectivitySupport of all updates to all documents when there is change in the transport design and/or technologies and collaborating with all stakeholders to test all related systems and processes to verify that the systems meet requirements and can host applications with no degradation to performance or securityMaintain and update network documentation, including network diagrams, configuration files, and inventory listsUtilize software and hardware tools to identify and diagnose complex problems and factors affecting network performanceCommunicate effectively with other project groups such as cybersecurity, network, operations, and Program Management teams to assist with the installation and troubleshooting of systems componentsWork closely with senior network engineers and other IT staff on network projects and initiatives, including upgrades and migrationsStay current with networking technologies and industry best practices. Participate in training and certification programs as requiredSalary Range: 90k- 100K (negotiable)
Minimum Qualifications
Basic network engineering experience with functions and concepts of a wide area network and network engineeringIP experience (to include sub-netting and routing), IPV4/IPV6Position is based out of the Denver Tech Center with some travel throughout the Colorado Front Range Area (Colorado Springs to Boulder)Less than 10% travel out of stateNon-supervisory positionSECURITY CLEARANCE: Must be currently eligible for a TS/SCI
Desired Qualifications
Experience with routing/switching configuration and troubleshooting to the CCNA levelExperience with NetBrain, Solarwinds, Infoblox, and ITSMExperience working in Department of Defense or with Department of Defense or other Federal contracts
