We are seeking a skilled Network Lab Technician with specialized knowledge and experience in optical transceivers to join our dynamic Technical Operations Team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our Research and Development (R&D) efforts by testing, troubleshooting, and optimizing optical transceivers and related networking equipment.
Key Responsibilities:Conduct testing and validation of optical transceivers and related networking equipment in laboratory environments.Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis of issues related to optical transceivers.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, developers, and sales to support product development and enhancement initiatives.Document test procedures, results, and findings accurately for future reference and improvement.Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure accurate testing and reliable results.Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in optical transceiver technologies.Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, or a related field.Proven experience (3 years) working with optical transceivers in a laboratory or live network setting.Strong understanding of optical networking protocols and standards (i.e., Ethernet, Fiber Channel, InfiniBand).Hands-on experience with testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, optical power meters, and spectrum analyzers.Proficiency in documenting test procedures, results, and technical specifications.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Preferred Qualifications:
Industry certifications related to optical networking (i.e., Cisco CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+).Experience with scripting or programming languages (i.e., Python, Perl) for test automation.
