Intro

Our Opportunity:CRM Data Automation is a department whose core accountability is to support the Corporate Risk Management (CRM) organization in the efficient use of data in reporting, analytics, and modeling. In support of this, our role provides administration and oversight of data warehouse resources for the organization and provides data engineering resources as developers of data engineering processes and as technical lead for other teams who practice data engineering.

We are looking for a Data Engineer to fill a role as an individual contributor. The role will be responsible for some of the key activities that are critical to the development, maintenance, and documentation of an integrated data infrastructure for Corporate Risk Management. Activities will include development and documentation of ETL/ELT processes. The ability to learn and understand complex business processes as part of the requirement gathering process is also required. This role reports to the Director of Software Development and Engineering on the CRM Data Automation Team.

Job Details

What you'll do:Work will include development of console applications to provide ETL and reporting capabilities. This development work should be expected to integrate with data sources and systems both internal and external to Client. Written and verbal communication skills are a must. Listening and comprehension skills will be needed as part of the project onboarding and requirements gathering processes. The ideal candidate will have experience operating both independently and as part of a team working on a software project, as well as experience prioritizing work.

Mandatory Skills

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience• 3-5 years' demonstrable hands-on experience in a development roleo Design, development, testing, implementation, and documentation of business solutions• Database development experienceo Data structure/architecture's role in helping to enforce data quality• ETL and Reporting automation experienceo Code driven experience, not solely using automation/RPA toolso Integration with external data sources and APIs• Business Analysis experience developing complex SQL queries for small to large sets of data and leading query optimization efforts• Expertise in GCP, SQL Server, Oracle DB and related technologies• C#, Python, R and related language experience• A strong understanding of OOP principleso Experience writing testable and configurable code for use in multiple environments (dev, qa, preprod, prod)• Experience establishing productive relationships with internal business partners and information technology partners• Strong communication and relationship skills, including experience working with all levels of management• Knowledge and understanding of the brokerage/investment advisory industry and the regulatory requirements related to the business• Time management, organization, and prioritization skills• The ability to work under deadlines
