Tesla is currently seeking a highly technical Desktop Support Technician to join our team onsite in Buffalo, NY. The IT Services position within the IT Operations team will be on the front lines of Tesla's IT systems support. As the face of IT, the Desktop Support Technician must have strong technical troubleshooting abilities, excellent communication skills and be willing to interface with a combination of both technical and non-technical departments. The primary task of this position will be to troubleshoot and resolve endpoint issues, install and support the systems, and assist with the day-to-day operations for Tesla's global IT infrastructure to provide for the growth of Tesla's initiatives.

Responsibilities

Provide onsite and remote support for Tesla organization. Responsible for troubleshooting and resolution of computer and mobile device hardware and software issues, telephony, printers, and networkingWork with Backups, Active Directory, Exchange, Azure, and Windows server environmentsWork with ECM, Imaging, packaging, scripting - Python or PowerShellWork with enterprise remote imaging and administrative tools including SCCM, JAMF, IntuneMaintain and work with wireless technologies, LAN, VPN, DSLCreate, edit, and improve technical articles and other procedures for systems at TeslaWork with the team lead, elevated set of permissions to address more challenging work within Active Directory, Office 365, and software licensingPerform in compliance with policy guidelines and within time frames as defined in the team's SLAs and/or project requirementsTroubleshoot Windows 10 & 11, Mac OS, iOS & Android mobile operating systemsRequirements

Minimum of 4 years of experience with desktop support experienceMinimum of 4 years of experience within a Windows and Mac environment, some Linux is preferredDegree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experienceExcellent customer service skills, strong attention to details with excellent follow upCompensation and BenefitsBenefits

Desktop Support Technician I - $18.02 - $27.03/hourDesktop Support Technician II - $20.40 - $30.60/hourDesktop Support Technician III - $24.82 - $37.23/hourDesktop Support Technician IV - $29.92 - $44.88/hourLead Desktop Support Technician - $31.96 - $47.94/hour, depending on level + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
