Our client is seeking an experienced Architect Firmware Engineer to join their team and lead the design and development of firmware solutions for their cutting-edge warehouse automation systems. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic vision, and a hands-on approach to solving complex engineering challenges. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in firmware development, real-time systems, and embedded hardware integration.

Required Skills & Experience

Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.Previous experience in firmware development for warehouse automation, robotics, or industrial control systems.Proven ability to lead technical projects and mentor engineering teams.Familiarity with Agile development practices and methodologies

What You Will Be DoingTech Breakdown

Extensive experience in developing firmware for embedded systems, including microcontrollers and digital signal processors (DSPs).Proficiency in C and C++ for firmware development, with a strong understanding of assembly language for performance-critical components.Experience with real-time operating systems and real-time software design principles.Deep knowledge of hardware interfacing, including I/O peripherals, communication protocols (e.g., UART, SPI, I2C), and debugging tools (e.g., oscilloscopes, logic analyzers).Daily Responsibilities

Design and architect robust firmware solutions for embedded systems used in warehouse automation, including robotics, sensors, and control units.Lead the development of high-performance firmware, ensuring adherence to real-time constraints, reliability, and maintainability.Oversee the integration of firmware with hardware components and other system software, including communication interfaces and control algorithms.Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize firmware for efficiency, including memory usage, processing speed, and power consumption.Work closely with hardware engineers, software developers, and system architects to ensure seamless integration and functionality across different system components.Drive the adoption of new technologies and methodologies to advance firmware capabilities and enhance system performance.Produce comprehensive technical documentation, including firmware design specifications, integration guidelines, and troubleshooting procedures.Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, promoting best practices and fostering a collaborative engineering culture.The OfferBonus
