Our challenge

As part of a network modernization project for our client, we are seeking a Security SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) Architect to design and implement a comprehensive security architecture that leverages SASE concepts to protect our network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the integration of network and security services with SASE to enhance our security posture, reduce complexity, and improve performance.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors.

In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within New York, NY is $130k - $140k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

Design and develop a SASE architecture that integrates with our network modernization efforts, ensuring security is intrinsic to the network design.

Evaluate current network security practices and infrastructure, identifying areas for improvement and modernization.

Collaborate with network engineers, IT teams, and business stakeholders to align the SASE architecture with organizational needs and goals.

Lead the implementation of SASE solutions, including cloud-based and on-premises components, to provide secure connectivity and access control.

Define policies and configurations for secure web gateways, cloud access security brokers (CASB), zero trust network access (ZTNA), and firewall as a service (FWaaS).

Keep abreast of the latest cybersecurity threats and SASE trends, incorporating best practices and innovative solutions into our network security framework.

Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for the SASE architecture, including design plans, policy guidelines, and operational procedures.

Provide expertise in regulatory compliance and data privacy requirements, ensuring the SASE architecture meets industry standards.

Conduct training sessions for IT staff and end-users to promote security awareness and best practices related to the SASE environment.

Monitor and analyze security logs and alerts, adjusting the SASE configuration as necessary to respond to emerging threats.

Requirements:

You are:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

Minimum of 7 years of experience in network security architecture, with at least 3 years focused on SASE or similar technologies.

In-depth understanding of SASE components, including SD-WAN, SWG, CASB, ZTNA, and FWaaS.

Familiarity with cloud networking, security services, and cloud infrastructure providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).

Proven ability to design and implement security solutions within complex network environments.

Strong knowledge of encryption, authentication, and authorization technologies.

Excellent problem-solving capabilities and the ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCNP Security, SANS, or other industry-recognized security credentials are highly desirable.

Exceptional communication skills and the ability to explain complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Good experience in Networking Fundamentals

Expertise in Identity and Access Management (IAM)

Good handling of Cloud Services and respective Security

Thorough experts in Network architecture

Good understanding of Network Infrastructure

Handson experience in implementing Security Operations.

Proficient in Scripting and Automation Orchestration
