Title: Part Time School Social Worker
Job Summary: Responsible for a range of support services including assessing the needs of students, providing appropriate social work services, monitoring student performance, individual counseling sessions, referral, intervention and consulting with the instructional staff to assist them in providing strategies for student social and personal growth, and coordinating services for and communications with a student's family and other social service resources.
Qualifications: Licensed School Social Worker Certification; Experience in K-12 education and SEL planning a plus.
Working Conditions: Part-time position September 1, 2024 - December 31, 2024, up to 25 hours per week, to provide support services in grades 7-12 at Hackensack Middle School and Hackensack High School during the school day and some evening hours to support parent outreach and parent mental health literacy.
Salary: As per HBOE/HEA Agreement; this position is 100% funded by the School-Based Mental Health Services Grant.
