Responsibilities:
Develops and maintains data models (logical and physical) for operational and analytical systems in the EnterpriseMaintains the ERWIN model repository and ensures the models are currentCreates and executes DDL in development environments for any new and/or revised database objectsWorks closely and communicates effectively with the IT development staff on providing the best data design solutions for their needsMust possess the ability to derive data requirements from functional requirements, source data and meetings and the ability to generate data models from scratch to meet requirements and follow best practicesWorks to promote the enterprise's data governance standardsReviews and Approves requests pertaining to database objects in a timely manner.Requirements:
BS in Computer Science or related field7+ years experience in data design, data architecture and data modeling (both transactional and analytic)5+ years experience in Relational and Dimensional data design and modeling in a large multi-platform data environment5+ years experience with Azure Synapse for the batched data warehouse, and Cosmos DB for the near real time data warehouse5+ years experience writing and optimizing complex SQL codeExperience working in Supply Chain or 3PL projects.Experience with data modeling toolsExperience with Oracle/SQL Server/DB2 in support of the transactional systems modeling is preferredExperience with Netezza or other data warehouse appliance platformExperience with Hadoop, Cassandra or other noSQL database platformMust have good written and verbal communication skills, and have experience interfacing directly with program development, user and management personnel
