We Are Expanding Our Program!We are excited to offer the opportunity to join our team within Crisis Services. Crisis Services is located in the newest building on the DuPage County Campus in Wheaton and provides 24/7 crisis mental health services to county residents who may be experiencing a psychiatric crisis or are in need of additional support for symptoms of mental illness. This full-time position will work Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM until 10:00 PM. Bachelor's degreed candidates can be considered for this position.

Responsibilities

Conducts Crisis Evaluations in a variety of community settings, from multiple referral sources for children, adolescents and adults to assess risk and determine recommendations for client care. Referral sources include CARES/SASS, law enforcement, hospital settings, and individuals.Provides emergency and crisis intervention services to individuals and families, both face to face and via telephone/video.Provides and follows-up on referral and community resource linkageMaintains required training, licensure and/or certificationConsults with staff concerning client and program issues and provides other case management servicesWorks collaboratively with community providersCompletion of required documentation within established timeframesUse of an Electronic Client Record, and additional call management softwareDemonstrates independent judgment and discretion in making position related decisionsParticipates in team meetings to assess clients' progressParticipates in emergency response activities as assigned

Requirements

Candidates for consideration require either a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field and two years of experience working with chronically mentally ill population; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. This role requires you to have a valid driver's license, along with your own personal vehicle that is reliable to drive while working in this role.
