Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Appian Developer to join our practice and project teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Appian development and be passionate about driving technology solutions in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Appian DevelopmentDesign, develop, and implement business process management solutions on Appian, leveraging best practices and coding standardsDevelop rapid prototypes during deign and initiation phases to drive detailed requirementsCustomize Appian components to meet specific business requirements, including inventive ways to solve non-OOTB use casesPerform advanced database design, development, and performance tuningDevelop integrations and web APIsLeverage modern components/concepts, including Data Fabric, Portals, AI, and RPA; continue to stay up-to-date on new features and provide thought leadership for adoption
Agile Methodology
Participate actively in all Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectivesCollaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and other team members to define and refine user stories and acceptance criteriaDeliver application demos to core project team and external stakeholders with professionalism and personability
Technical Leadership
Provide governance to other developers on the team to ensure Appian best practices and development standards are being metConduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practicesProvide technical expertise and troubleshoot complex issues related to Appian applications
Collaboration
Work closely with business analysts, QA engineers, and other developers to communicate statuses, questions, and iterate on design concepts
Engage with client stakeholders and development managers to understand their needs and provide technical solutions
Qualifications:
Experience
4+ years of hands-on experience with Appian BPM platform delivering enterprise solutions to customersExperience working with modern Appian features, specifically Data Fabric and PortalsUnderstanding and experience working in Agile scrum teams, preferably managing various aspects of the scrum lifecycle
Skills
Proficient in Appian design, development, and architectureStrong knowledge of Appian SAIL, Process Modeler, Sites, and PortalsExperience with integrations using Web APIs, RESTful services, and other integration technologiesExcellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a teamStrong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fieldAppian Certified Senior Developer requiredAppian Certified Lead Developer preferred
