The clinical therapist is responsible for providing diagnostic assessments, counseling, and supportive services for a diverse population in a fast-paced Mental Health Rehabilitative Core Service Agency. The therapist will maintain a caseload that includes adults, adolescents, or a combination of both. They are a deeply familiar with other services and resources within the community and work closely with them to provide information and support when required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Provide evidence-based psychotherapy for clients who present with various concerns such as substance abuse, depression, anxiety, trauma and adjustment disordersCoordinate with inter-agency program providers to deliver comprehensive care for clientsPrepare discharge summariesProvide therapy for each client on caseload in an individual, family or group modalityMake referrals and collaborate with referral sources regarding client progressConduct clinical assessments and create person-centered treatment plansMaintain and submit all clinical documentation with clients within 48 hours of completing the serviceProvide emergency support as needed in accordance with the after-hours on-call scheduleAttend all scheduled programmatic meetings (e.g., clinical supervision, staff meetings, etc.)All other clinical tasks as assignedQualifications:
Master's Degree in a human services related fieldLicensed in the District of Columbia in one of the following licenses (LGPC, LGSW, LPC, LCSW, LMFT, Psychologist, Psychiatrist, APRN and/or RN)Two years minimum of direct-care clinical services with individuals with mental health diagnosesMust be familiar or willing to be trained on EMR systemsCOVID-19 Guidelines: Services are mainly provided via telehealth platforms; face-to-face encounters completed based on level of comfort
