LaSalle Network has partnered with our client in their search for a
Remote Network Consultant . As a subject matter expert in Fortinet networking, the key responsibilities of this role include providing technical thought leadership, identifying operational risks and improvements and developing network designs based on client requirements. This role also involves mentoring global team members, leading ITSM functions and ensuring general service health for all network services.
Remote Network Consultant Responsibilities:Provide strategic technical guidance and governanceCollaborate with leadership, client account teams and clients to identify and address operational risks and opportunities for improvementAssist in developing and implementing service/process improvementsWork with solution architects to design and review client solutionsDrive process enhancements and efficiency through automationCreate network designs based on client needs and document associated technical detailsMentor team members in technology and customer supportCollaborate on ITSM functions with global teamDefine and oversee incident and request management processesReview and standardize change management processesLead root cause analysis and problem management effortsEnsure service availability and uptime for network servicesMaintain CMDB inventory accuracyImplement operational best practices, including SRE practicesEnsure compliance with audit requirementsTravel for client workshops and internal meetings as needed
Remote Network Consultant Requirements:
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skillsStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to interact with technical vendorsProactive and self-motivated with strong ownershipExpert knowledge in network architecture in datacenter and cloud environmentsProficiency with Fortinet suite of products, including NGFW and SD-WANExtensive knowledge of network diagnostics, protocols and disciplinesExpertise in network automation using CI/CD toolsetsFamiliarity with common infrastructure technologies and cloud platforms10+ years of experience in a complex environment with web applicationsExperience in client-facing and service delivery rolesITIL certification and industry-standard technical certifications are desirableCollege degree or equivalent experience preferred
