The Opportunity:You know that true progress is made at the intersection of business and tech, and as a Product Owner, you can develop your skills in both. Here, you'll have the chance to work with a software development team as they develop digital products to support defense and national security. We're looking for someone like you to help propel our programs forward, as well as delve into technology trends to deliver user-friendly client experiences.

As a Product Owner, you'll work to develop leading-edge software systems, such as training platforms, biometric systems, and mobile operating systems. Working with a team of software engineers, testers, and system engineers, you'll identify clients' business needs, gather user requirements, and develop user stories. You'll understand the overall direction and nuanced user needs clearly, and you'll guide the team as they fulfill these needs by creating deployable features. Together, you'll deliver high value products to our national defense customers.

You Have:Experience as a product owner, scrum master, requirements manager, business analyst, or as part of a software development team

Experience eliciting and managing requirements and translating business requirements into clear and detailed user stories and acceptance criteria

Experience using Atlassian Jira or project management tool, including Azure DevOps, or YouTrack

Experience with prioritizing the Team Backlog to streamline the execution of program priorities while maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of the features or components

Knowledge of the software development lifecycle

Ability to work on multiple, related projects to provide cohesive input to multiple development teams

Ability to advocate for customer requirements, business needs, and design implementation decisions

Ability to travel domestically up to 20% of the time

Secret clearance

HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:1+ years of experience in the end-to-end design, development, and maintenance of custom web applications

1+ years ofexperience in UI and UX design, including wireframe creation using tools such as Balsamiq

1+ years ofexperience in front-end and back-end web development frameworks, such as React.js and Node.js

Ability to recommend solutions to challenges and communicate effectively with staff, management, and clients

Ability to work both independently and as a team member

Possession of excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or technical field

The projected compensation range for this position is $54,000.00 to $123,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
