Harlem Hospital Center has been a bedrock of the Harlem community since 1887. Job Description

Under supervision, provides social work services to patients/families on the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry unity and Pediatric Emergency department and provides supervision to staff assigned.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversees the work of a social work program or segment of a large or specialized social work program, providing psychosocial services, utilizing casework, and group work and community organization methodologies.2. Develops and maintains internal administrative controls of a program area to ensure compliance with federal and state laws, rules and regulations and with NYC Health + Hospitals regulations.3. Prepares reports on staff operations and makes recommendations regarding policies or procedures to facilitate improved services, increased patient satisfaction and better patient outcomes.4. Participates in the development and integration of community social services.5. Mediates disputes concerning case management, interpretation of agency policies/procedures and staff issues.6. Prepares summary reports comparing actual productivity to stated goals/objectives.

For Assignment to Level V 1. Valid license as an LCSW issued by the NYSED, and two (2) years of supervisory experience, as described above.
