Job Title : Mainframe Software DeveloperDuration : Long termLocation : Woodlawn, MD (Hybrid)
*** Selected candidate must reside within two (2) hours of Woodlawn, MD*** Selected candidate must be willing to work on-site at least 2 days a week.**** Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.

Key Required Skills:Z/OS Mainframe development, COBOL, REXX, CLIST, JCL, and SQL, relational databases, DB2 and non-relational mainframe storage technology, TDD, and BDD
Position Description:
Develop JCL and software code using customer defined standards and software engineering best practicesAnalyze root causes for batch job failures, take appropriate corrective steps to resolve issues in a timely fashion, and share findings with the teamEvaluate impacts of database schema changes on existing software componentsBrief management, customer, team, or vendors using written or oral skills at an appropriate technical level for the audiencePrepare or update documentation as neededActively participate in peer reviews of project artifactsIndependently and/or collaboratively research problems and provide solutionsAll other duties as assigned or directed.
Skills Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent relevant experienceMasters or Doctorate degree may substitute for required experience7+ years of experience with COBOL, JCL, REXX, analysis, design, and developmentMust be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
Required Skills:
Solid experience with Z/OS Mainframe Development.Experienced Developer in COBOL, JCL, REXX, and similar utilities/languages.Strong knowledge of relational databases, dB2 and non-relational mainframe storage technology.Solid exposure with automated unit testing, TDD, BDD, and associated technologies.Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent customer relations skills.
Desired Skills:
Experience with File Aid/RDX.Experience with modern development software, tools, and methodologies, including Java and Python.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree with 3+ years of experienceMust be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
