The Data Analyst provides support to the Business Optimization team and organizational initiatives through analysis of operational, process, financial, and clinical data and works on special projects, as assignedResponsibilities and Accountabilities:Works directly with the Business Optimization Senior Director, and collaborates with Information Technology, company's EHR, and members of the leadership team to provide accurate and timely representations and analyses of data.

Responsible for gathering and integrating qualitative and quantitative data from disparate data sources; evaluating and processing raw data and information into usable datasets; validating data and reports; and transforming data into reports that are simple, easy to read and drive actionable outcomes.Collaborate with IT to build and/or build and maintain databases to support reporting needs within the scope of the Business Optimization team.Build data models and analyze data to identify trends and develop models for inference and prediction based on a variety of sources.Develop and maintain dashboards for Performance Improvement, Quality, Operations, and organizational initiatives.Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets and identify opportunities to increase health care quality and reduce costs.Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and efficiency within the organization.

Qualifications

Education Requirements:Bachelor's degree in business, statistics, finance, health care administration, public health, psychology, or related field; master's degree preferred.Three to five years working with data and data management systems.One to three years working with healthcare and/or clinical data preferred.Experience working with a wide range of data sets including patient, geographic, insurance, survey, quality and process related dataSpecific Skills:Basic knowledge of fundamental concepts in health care delivery.Knowledge of building and maintaining databases.Data visualization and dashboard development.Proficiency in SQL and data analysis tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, SAS, and SPSS.Knowledge of enterprise data warehouse and data management systems.Ability to identify trends and make recommendations based on findings.Ability to transform data into actionable outcomes.Ability to take initiative, exercise sound judgment, and solid decision-making to achieve organizational/departmental objectives.Ability to function as a member of a multidisciplinary team.Analytical, resourceful, and an aptitude for problem-solving.Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.Ability to work independently.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Additional Details
